Work Sample
An activation hypothesis for private-practice psychologists joining Heidi with clients already in treatment.
Background
Heidi turns consultations into notes and documents. This works well when the output only needs context from that consultation.
This is true for many practitioners, but typically psychologists have a larger proportion of ongoing patients. Their use cases depend on context that spans many sessions.
The hypothesis
Consider a client already ten sessions into treatment. Their psychologist needs:
- A brief client summary before the next appointment.
- A progress report to the referring GP covering the last 6 completed sessions.
A new transcript alone cannot supply that history. My hypothesis is that psychologists miss these valuable use cases when joining Heidi, making them less likely to commit.
Current State
Heidi already creates documents from files without recording a consultation. There are two routes:
From a patient profile
- Create or open a patient.
- Go to Files and attach their previous notes.
- Start a new session from their profile. The patient is automatically linked.
- In Context, select Use patient documents as context and choose the files.
- Select Create and choose a document template.
- Review, edit and export.
Directly in Scribe
- Open a new session.
- Upload previous notes directly into Context.
- Select Create and choose a document template.
- Review, edit and export.
Proposed solution
Guide psychologists through adding an existing client, creating a useful document from their records and preparing for the next appointment.
- Add an existing client to Heidi.
- Upload a PDF export of their previous notes.
- Select Create document and choose a template, such as a GP progress report or client summary.
- Review, edit and export as needed.
- Start the next Scribe session with the reviewed document attached as context. Record developments and review the updated draft.
We expect this first useful document to bring psychologists back for recording and reporting.
